Critical Human Geography Research Fellow, School of Geography, University of Leeds

I am a Critical Human Geography Research Fellow at the School of Geography, University of Leeds. I have conducted research on migrants and refugees over 13 years for academic, voluntary and statutory organisations. I have publications in the Journals of Refugee Studies, Poverty and Social Justice, Policy & Politics; and a forthcoming book, ‘Precarious lives: forced labour, exploitation and asylum’, with Policy Press from our recent ESRC Precarious Lives study on experiences of forced labour among refugees and asylum seekers.
We are currently running an ESRC Knowledge Exchange project to establish a Platform on Forced Labour and Asylum to tackle forced labour among refugees and asylum seekers, supported by Joseph Rowntree Foundation and co-funded by eight civil society partners. http://www.geog.leeds.ac.uk/research/news/archived-news/
