Postdoctoral Research Associate in Sociology, Penn State

I am a social gerontologist and family demographer. My research agenda focuses on the intersections of aging, family, and health. In both my independent and collaborative work, I seek to understand social determinants of health disparities from a global perspective. Specifically, I am engaged in three areas of research: (1) to explore how demographic changes and social policies impact physical and mental health of aging populations, (2) to examine changing family networks in a global setting, and (3) to test how multiple dimensions of family relations influence health and well-being across the life span.
