Dr. Hasan Sheikh is an emergency and addictions medicine physician in Toronto, and an Assistant Professor at the University of Toronto Department of Family and Community Medicine. He holds a Masters in Public Administration from the Harvard Kennedy School, and serves as the Vice-Chair of Canadian Doctors for Medicare.

Dr. Sheikh focuses on using the emergency department to diagnose failures of our public policies, and advocates for better policies to address health inequities, including pharmacare, dental care, substance use, and the impact of precarious work on health.
