Heather Millar

Heather Millar is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Political Science at the University of New Brunswick. Her research examines Canadian provincial energy and climate politics, focusing on the role of narratives and frames in influencing processes of learning, feedback, and public acceptance of new technologies. Heather has published research articles in Canadian Public Administration, Canadian Journal of Political Science, Environmental Politics, Public Policy and Administration, Policy Sciences and Review of Policy Research. Prior to her appointment at UNB Heather was a SSHRC postdoctoral fellow with the Institute for Science, Society, and Policy at the University of Ottawa. She also held a postdoctoral fellowship with the Environmental Governance Lab at the Munk School of Global Affairs & Public Policy (University of Toronto). Heather holds a PhD in political science from the University of Toronto, and an MPP and BA from Simon Fraser University. Previously she worked in the Canadian non-profit sector in a variety of policy areas including housing, environment, and international development.
