Hedda Haugen Askland

Dr Hedda Haugen Askland is a Senior Lecturer in Anthropology at The University of Newcastle, NSW. Through her research on Development-Induced Displacement and Resettlement within mining affected communities in rural Australia, Hedda investigates how mining, land use and land use change relate to place and power, displacement and emplacement, home and exile, inequality and privilege.
