Helder Ferreira do Vale is a professor of the Graduate Program in International Relations (PPGRI) at the Federal University of Bahia (UFBA) (Salvador, Brasil). In the past, Helder has taught at the Department of International Studies at XianJiotong-Liverpool University (XJTLU) in China (March 2021-July 2022), and at the Graduate School of Studies International University of Hankuk in South Korea (March 2014-February 2021). Helder holds a Ph.D in political science from the European University Institute (Florence, Italy), a M.A. from Johns Hopkins University (Washington DC, USA), a D.E.A. from University Complutense of Madrid (Spain), and a B.A. from Richmond University (London, UK). In the past, Helder held academic positions at the University of Barcelona (Spain), the University of Lisbon (Portugal), the Center for Advanced Studies Hanse-Wissenschaftskolleg (HWK) (Germany), and the Center for Political and Constitutional Studies (CEPC) of Spain’s Ministry of the Presidency. Also, Helder worked in international organizations including the World Bank (Washington DC, USA), the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) (Washington DC, USA) and the United Nations (UNDP-Angola).
