Helen Carr

I am the programme lead for the History strand of the PGDipEd programme at the University of Birmingham. Prior to taking on this role I completed a PhD in History, an MEd and worked as a secondary school history teacher for 9 years after completing a PhD. My research and teaching interests include the history of racial and religious diversity in Britain, multiculturalism, the history of state-funded religious schooling and the teaching of sensitive, contested and controversial histories.
