Helen Jefferson Lenskyj

Professor Emerita of Sociology and Equity Studies in Education, University of Toronto

Professor Emerita Helen Jefferson Lenskyj has published extensively on women, sport, sexuality and the Olympic industry. Professor of Sociology and Equity Studies in Education at the University of Toronto (1986 until her retirement in 2007), she has been involved in a wide range of community activist groups since the 1970s. Her most recent publications include The Palgrave Handbook of Olympic Studies (co-edited) and Gender Politics and the Olympic Industry.
