Professor of Anthropology, La Trobe University

Currently Professor of Anthropology in the Department of Social Inquiry, and Deputy Head of School (Research and Strategy) in the School of Humanities and Social Sciences at La Trobe University. Since the 1980s I have conducted research with the people of Tonga, both in the islands and the diaspora, and more recently with Pacific people living in northwest Victoria, Australia. My focus has been on childhood and youth, migration and transnationalism.
