Helen Ringrow

Helen Ringrow is Senior Lecturer in Communication Studies and Applied Linguistics at the University of Portsmouth, where she leads the BA English Language and Linguistics programme. She has a PhD from Queen's University Belfast (2014) and her monograph, The Language of Cosmetics Advertising, was published with Palgrave in 2016. She is interested in ideas around femininity and the female body, both online and off. She is currently exploring the discourse of religious female bloggers.
