Hong-Oanh Nguyen

Associate Professor, University of Tasmania

Assoc Prof Hong-Oanh (Owen) Nguyen has PhD in economics and is an expert in maritime economics with 30 years' experience of teaching and research in Australia, Singapore and Vietnam.

Owen has been lecturing at the Australian Maritime College (AMC), University of Tasmania since 2005, where has held various positions including Deputy Director of the National Centre for Ports and Shipping, Head of Maritime and Logistics Management and Graduate Research Coordinator.

He has publications in International Journal of Production Economics, Transportation Research Part A: Policy and Practice, Transport Policy, Transport Reviews, Maritime Economics and Logistics, Maritime Policy and Management, International Journal of Logistics, Journal of International Logistics and Trade, International Journal of Shipping and Transport Logistics, and Asian Journal of Shipping and Logistics.

Owen has involved in maritime related projects including:
