Dr Ian Alcock’s main research interest is in the relationships between public health, and socio-demographic, psycho-social and environmental factors.

In his current project he works with colleagues at the Centre on modelling relationships between mental health and wellbeing, and the availability of green space, personal circumstances, and the socio-economic profile of the residential locality.

Dr Alcock also investigates links between attitudes to health and the environment, and aspects of personality and personal values. His methodological interests include modelling repeated measures, modelling non-random samples, and scale development.
