Ian Dawson is an Associate Fellow with the Tree Productivity and Diversity research theme at World Agroforestry (ICRAF), where he researches biodiversity and tree genetic management issues, including tree seed and seedling supply challenges. He is also a Reader at Scotland’s Rural College (SRUC) in Edinburgh, Scotland, where he researches the ‘mainstreaming’ of under-researched food crops ('orphan crops') that include tree foods planted in restoration and other contexts.
