Professorial Fellow, Institute of Development Studies

Ian Scoones is a Professorial Fellow at the Institute of Development Studies at the University of Sussex. He is PI of the ERC-funded PASTRES project (www.pastres.org) and co-director of the ESRC STEPS Centre (www.steps-centre.org). He is an agricultural ecologist by original training, and works on land, livelihoods and agrarian change mostly in sub-Saharan Africa.
