Ieuan is a full-time Senior Lecturer at Leeds Beckett University teaching within the School of Clinical and Applied Sciences. He teaches across several courses including BSc and MSc Sport and Exercise Therapy, BSc Nutrition & Dietetics, and MSc Sport and Exercise Medicine. Ieuan has a BSc (Hons) in Sport and Exercise Science, an MSc in Sports Therapy, and a PhD in Sport and Exercise Sciences with a focus on Psychology. He also has a Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy. Ieuan's research interests are in male body image, anabolic steroid use, and the psychology of injury and is an active researcher in the Musculoskeletal Health Research group at Leeds Beckett and part of an Anabolic Steroid Academic Network co-ordinated at Manchester Metropolitan University.
Alongside academia Ieuan is a graduate Sports Therapist and member of the Society of SPorts Therapist that has worked with amatuer and elite athletes across several sports, including, rugby union and rugby league, golf, football, and boxing. Ieuan currently runs his own business working with private patients and with a National Two Rugby Union team to meet their assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation needs. As a practitioner Ieuan has a keen interest in return to play rehabilitation and the psychology of injury.
