In my current role in the School o Nursing and Midwifery, I lead a team of academics and researchers in the delivery of high quality teaching, healthcare practice, and research. The central theme to my research is valuing children's and young people's voices and promoting their participation in matters that affect their lives. I am passionate about supporting and promoting children's rights and welfare. My research focuses on: child participation rights, shared decision-making, child and family centred care, technological interventions for chronic illness management and transition from child to adult services. I have over 200 publications in peer-reviewed journals and co authored two children's nursing textbooks. I have co-authored over 150 conference abstracts, conducted international workshops and delivered keynote addresses at several international scientific conferences.
