PhD Candidate in Computational Neuroscience and BioRobotics, The University of Edinburgh

Ioannis Pisokas is fascinated with studying how brains work and building artificial brains for robots. Currently studies the navigational competences of insects by combining behavioural experiments, neuroscience, and building robots that replicate insect behaviour.

He has funded several start-ups and he has done research in robot learning and electronics. He holds a BEng in Electronics Engineering, an MSc in Artificial Intelligence, and has received several awards including from IKY, Guarantors of Brain, and the Royal Society of Edinburgh.
