Isaac Garcia-Sitton

Isaac Garcia-Sitton is a respected leader in the Higher Education sector with over 18 years of experience in international relations and business development. An accomplished former diplomat, he currently serves as the Inaugural Executive Director, International Student Enrolment, Education & Inclusion at Ryerson University in Toronto. Isaac’s efforts to positively impact immigrant communities has been recognized by being named one of the “10 Most Influential Hispanic Canadians” in 2018 and as a RBC’s Top 25 Canadian Immigrant Award winner in 2020.

He is currently pursuing a PhD in Education: Language, Culture & Teaching at York University and his research interest is immigration policymaking as it relates to the recruitment and retention of international students in Canada, specifically the policy changes that took place during Covid-19 pandemic.
