Isha Dubey is an assistant professor at the Human Science Research Center (HSRC) at the International Institute of Information Technology, Hyderabad (IIIT-H). She graduated with a PhD in History from the School of Culture and Society at Aarhus University in October 2017 for her doctoral dissertation, The Urdu-speakers of Bangladesh and the Idea of ‘Home’: Migration, Displacement and Shifting Narratives of Belonging Since the 1940s. Post her PhD, and prior to joining her current position at IIIT-H, Isha has been been a postdoctoral fellow at the Swedish South Asian Studies Network (SASNET), Lund University in Sweden and the Department of Global Studies, Aarhus University in Denmark Her work is guided by an overarching interest in histories of migration and nationalism, communalism and communal violence in South Asia and diaspora and memory studies.
