Isobelle Barrett Meyering is a historian of Australian feminism, childhood and the family. She is currently based in the Department of History and Archaeology at Macquarie University, which she joined in 2018 after completing her PhD at UNSW. Isobelle is the author of Feminism and the Making of a Child Rights Revolution, 1969-1979 (Melbourne University Press, 2022) and her work has appeared in a wide range of Australian history and gender studies journals. She is currently working on a new history of children's rights in Australia, focusing on the period from 1959.
