I am a scholar in Political Science and International Studies, and researcher on North American Studies. I am currently a Guest Researcher at the Centre for Political and Constitutional Studies (CEPC) in Madrid, Spain. I have been previously a Vacation Visiting Research Fellow at the Rothermere American Institute, at the University of Oxford; an Academic Visitor at the North American Studies Programme at St Antony’s College, also at the University of Oxford; and a Postdoctoral Scholar and Visiting Fellow in Public Policy at the University of Southern California, United States.
I hold a PhD in Political Science and International Studies, and an MSc in Urban and Regional Studies from the University of Birmingham, in the United Kingdom, and a BA in International Relations from the Tecnológico de Monterrey, in Mexico. As a researcher, I am particularly interested in the analysis of policy interdependence and political integration between Canada, Mexico, and the US resulting from the operation of the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA), its side and parallel accords, and their corresponding institutions.
