My main research interests are the diversity and evolution of animal cognition in its broadest sense. To this end, I have done research on various species such as ostriches, junglefowl, ravens, New Caledonian crows, orangutans and chimpanzees. My focus is mostly on their understanding of the physical world they live in and the fundamental processes that form the basis of more complex cognitive abilities.
