Reader in Human Movement and Sports Medicine, Cardiff Metropolitan University

My research has focused on understanding how and why we move the way we do, from both a performance and injury perspective. I obtained my PhD on economical running from the University of Exeter and have since led several injury epidemiology projects working directly with sporting governing bodies to inform injury prevention and management policies. In addition, I specialise in running-related rehabilitation and female athlete health, having received national and international research awards within the field.
