Jackie Saturno

Jackie Saturno (she/her) is an Environmental Scientist and Project Coordinator based out of Halifax, Nova Scotia. In her most recent position at Dalhousie University, she worked as a Research Associate in the Westwood lab, working on projects that focus on bridging Indigenous Knowledge with Western Science for conservation efforts. Jackie has worked on a wide variety of research projects ranging from Atlantic salmon conservation to determining sources of marine plastic pollution to monitoring plastic litter created from the COVID-19 pandemic. Jackie is also a National Geographic Explorer and has been funded by the Society for multiple plastic pollution research projects.
