PhD Candidate, University of Wollongong

Jacob Donley is currently a PhD candidate and academic tutor at the University of Wollongong. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering Honours (Computer) and his PhD research focuses on Digital Signal Processing (DSP) which is aimed at improving the practicality of multizone soundfield reproduction.

Research problems exist in the area of spatial audio perception and he is researching solutions by which multizone soundfield reproduction, directional loudspeakers and innovative materials/manufacturing can be adjoined. His research also delves into sensory perception of multimedia where applications of multimedia technology give physiological insight to users’ experiences. Jacob also has experience in image analysis and registration for 2D and 3D image processing.
