Jacob Nyarko

Jacob Nyarko works as a full-time lecturer at the Department of Communication Studies of the University of Cape Coast in Ghana. He graduated from the University of KwaZulu-Natal, Durban, South Africa with a doctorate degree in Media Studies. Prior to his current assignment, he lectured at Takoradi Technical University and Regent University College of Science and technology, all based in Ghana. Jacob has taught courses in media planning, corporate communications and research, academic writing among others. He is a mixed-researcher with emphasis on qualitative explorations. He has published in global scholarly journals on the state of the Ghanaian media: freedoms, expression and development, ethics, effects, funding, political economy, terror reporting and authored a book on research.
