Jaime King is the John and Marylyn Mayo Chair in Health Law and Professor of Law at The University of Auckland, Waipapa Taumata Rau. She teaches and supervises in areas at the intersection of law, medicine, ethics, and policy. Professor King’s research explores the ways that the law affects people’s health and access to affordable and equitable health care. Her research integrates knowledge across academic disciplines, industry, and government entities to propose policy responses. She has published in a wide range of academic fields, including legal, medical, health services, public health, and ethical journals. She co-founded Ki Te Pae Tawhiti: Aotearoa New Zealand’s Health Reform Collective, a website that tracks and analyses health reform in New Zealand. Prior to joining the University of Auckland, she was the Bion M. Gregory Chair in Business Law and Professor of Law at the University of California, College of Law San Francisco (formerly UC Hastings College of Law).
