Programme Leader for Performance, University of the West of Scotland

I am a Lecturer and Researcher in Drama, Theatre and Performance. My research interests and areas of expertise include durational performance, arts and health, creative and digital pedagogies, and running and performance. I have published in a range of journals including the 'Journal of Applied Arts and Health', 'Sport in Society', and 'Arts and the Market'. My book, titled 'Bergson and Durational Performance: (Re)Ma(r)king Time' (2022) is published by Intellect Books / University of Chicago Press. I am currently working on a project using drama as an early intervention suicide prevention programme as well as a project exploring how participatory performance can be used with people living with dementia. Other current research is concerned with digital performance and pedagogy in Higher Education.

I have a PhD in Theatre and Performance and I am a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
