PhD Researcher, Sustainability Research Institute, University of Leeds

Jamie Carr is currently pursuing a PhD at the University of Leeds, UK. His work looks at the impacts of development interventions on forest ecosystems. He also serves as SSC Outreach Officer for the IUCN SSC Climate Change Specialist Group.

Jamie formerly worked as Programme Officer for IUCN's Global Species Programme, where specialized work included the assessment of species vulnerability to climate change, and the use of outputs to inform conservation strategies, including at global, regional, national and local levels. He also led the production of the Critical Ecosystem Partnership Fund's (CEPF) ecosystem profile for the Guinean Forests of West Africa.

Jamie has managed or engaged in projects in Africa, Asia, Europe and South America, and has organised and attended high-level international meetings and workshops, including in the global policy arena.
