Jamilu Tukur

Jamilu Tukur is a Professor of obstetrics and gynaecology and currently the Provost of the College of Health Sciences Umaru Musa Yaradua University, Katsina, Nigeria. He is a consultant obstetrician and gynaecologist with over 25 years of clinical experience mainly spent working in tertiary level hospitals in Nigeria. As a lecturer with Bayero University Kano, he has trained several undergraduate and postgraduate students and has many publications in textbooks and peer reviewed local and international journals. He is an examiner to several universities and postgraduate examination bodies. He is an advocate for improved maternal and perinatal health in Nigeria and the immediate past Chairman of Kano state Society for Gynaecology and Obstetrics (SOGON) and current Vice President II of the Association of Fetomaternal Medicine Specialists of Nigeria (AFEMSON)
