Jane Turner Goldsmith is an author and psychologist. She has worked in the fields of health, education, language teaching, counselling, psychology and creative writing and is currently undertaking a PhD in Creative Writing at the University of Adelaide.
Jane's topic is The Essential Worker: Psychological First Aid and the Composite Novel. The novel is a collection of autonomous short stories about essential workers at the outset of the 2020 pandemic. It features a linking character, an artfully manipulative mature-age student reviving her 1970s Arts degree, with whom the other characters' lives become entangled.
Jane has also published a novel, Poinciana, set in New Caledonia, with Wakefield Press in 2006, a children's novel, an anthology of adoption stories and short fiction in a range of journals.
