MSc Candidate, Epidemiology and Biostatistics, Western University

I hold a Bachelors in Kinesiology from Queen’s University and I am currently pursuing a MSc in Epidemiology and Biostatistics at Western University. My research focuses on the social determinants of health, health-related modifiable behaviours, physical activity promotion and health equity. In particular, my research explores the association between social determinants of health and physical activity patterning among middle-aged to older adults in Canada to understand the predictors as well of barriers of physical activity. I hope my research can contribute in a meaningful way and bring awareness the variety of factors that dictate the opportunities in which individuals are able to engage in physical activity, consequently shaping the way in which specific subgroups of the population experience health.
