Adjunct Research Fellow, University of South Australia

Janean is an Adjunct Research Fellow at University South Australia and Murdoch University. She completed her PhD in Education in 2011 and has taught in secondary and tertiary education for most of her life! Her research interests include social justice in education and the impact of policy on young people in schools and teachers work. Janean has published widely in this field and was co-author of the book 'Rethinking School-to-Work Transitions in Australia: Young People Have Something to Say' published by Springer.
In 2021, Janean was employed as a Research Fellow (Teaching Enterprise UniSA Education Futures) under the Supervision of CI Associate Professor Anna Sullivan for the ARC Project, School Exclusionary Policies and Practices and their Impact. In 2022, Janean joined the Education Futures Executive Leadership Group of UniSA with a successful adjunct appointment to continue her research with the School Exlusions team. She is also a member of the Cerntre for Research in Education and Social Inclusion [CRESI] at the University of South Australia.
