Janis M. Miyasaki

I am a Professor of Medicine at the University of Alberta. I am the first Director of Equity, Diversity and Inclusion for the Department of Medicine at UA. I am also the Director of the Parkinson and Movement Disorders Program, a Parkinson Foundation Centre of Excellence and the Co-Director and Founder of Neuropalliative and Advanced Symptoms Clinic at UA. I have written over 150 peer-reviewed manuscripts. I am the author of an upcoming book directed to the lay audience on Navigating Life with a Serious Neurologic Illness and am a student in the Harvard course, Media and Medicine.
