Program Co-ordinator, Drama Studies, Department of English Language and Literature, Carleton University

Currently, I am the Program Co-ordinator of Drama Studies in the English Department at Carleton University. My focus is on teaching students how to see performance and develop the skills of contemporary performance criticism. I am also active in the Ottawa theatre community, and sit on two boards. When there is any time left over (which is rare) I have dabbled in stand-up comedy. I did my PhD at Carleton in Cultural Mediations, focusing specifically on the puppet theatre of Ronnie Burkett. My dissertation, "Getting in the Car to Weirdsville: Taking a Trip with Ronnie Burkett Theatre of Marionettes", explores the work of this Master class designer, playwright, and performer. I have taught in the Theatre Department at the University of Ottawa and the Department of English at Carleton University.
