Jason Hannan is Associate Professor in the Department of Rhetoric & Communications at the University of Winnipeg.

He is the editor of Truth in the Public Sphere (Lexington, 2016) and Philosophical Profiles in the Theory of Communication (Peter Lang, 2012). His articles have appeared in Communication Theory, Contemporary Pragmatism, Review of Communication, Empedocles: European Journal for the Philosophy of Communication, RASK: International Journal for Language and Communication, and Intellectual History Review.

Dr. Hannan's research interests include: rhetoric and political theory, the philosophy of communication, animal rights, posthumanism, and bioethics and medical humanities.

His courses include: Rhetoric of Medicine, Rhetoric in a Pluralistic Society, the Rhetoric of Animality, Rhetorical Criticism, Modern Rhetorical Theory, and Contemporary Communication Theory.
