Professor and Associate Director, ARC Centre of Excellence for Automated Decision-Making and Society, Queensland University of Technology

Jean Burgess is Professor of Digital Media, Associate Director of the ATC Centre of Excellence for Automated Decision-Making and Society, and a Chief Investigator in the QUT Digital Media Research Centre (DMRC). She is an expert in digital media, with a focus on the everyday uses and politics of social and mobile media platforms, as well as new digital methods for studying them.
