Prof. Jean-Paul Larçon is Emeritus Professor of Strategy at HEC Paris. A former Director of HEC Paris Grande Ecole, he is an honorary member and founder of CEMS - The Global Alliance in Management Education.
J.-P. Larçon holds an MSc. degree from HEC Paris and a Doctorate in Management Science from Paris-Dauphine University. He has been awarded a Doctorate Honoris Causa by NHH Norwegian School of Economics (Norway), Vytautas Magnus University (Lithuania), and Warsaw University of Technology (Poland).
He was a visiting professor in Brazil (EAESP - Fundação Getulio Vargas - São Paulo), Russia (Graduate School of Management of St Petersburg University), India (Indian Institute of Management), and China (Tsinghua School of Economics and Management - Beijing).
He is the co-chair of the Board of BMI Executive Institute (Brussels and Vilnius) and a member of the Academic Council of Louvain School of Management (Belgium).
He led several management education projects in China, Central Europe, Central Asia and Russia.
He is the author or co-author of many articles and books in the field of international management such as Entrepreneurship and Economic Transition in Central Europe (Kluwer, 1998); Chinese Multinationals (World Scientific, 2008); Strategor (Dunod, 2013); The New Silk Road – China Meets Europe in the Baltic Sea Region (World Scientific, 2017).
His current research interests are in Chinese multinationals, China-Europe economic cooperation and connectivity in Eurasia.
