Jennifer Ayton

Research focus; social patterning of breastfeeding and infant and young child feeding practices, health sociology, mothering, fathering. Special interest in teenage mothers\ fathers and socioeconomic disadvantage and the social theory of Pierre Bourdieu.

Jennifer is a current PhD Candidate jointly with the University of Tasmania|Sociology and Menzies Research Institute, a Senior Clinical Lecturer with the Faculty of Health Science and a tutor for the School of Medicine UTAS, a Midwife / Lactation Consultant.
