Dr. Jennifer dos Reis dos Santos is a cultural activist and historian. Her doctoral degree focuses on how African American folklore is a means of recording cultural memory and history. Other research interests are African American literature, Voodoo literature, and postcolonial theory. She got her graduate degree from Aberystwyth University, Wales where she enjoyed going on long walks and watching wild horses. Her long-term goal is to empower younger generations through folklore and to show them how to embrace their cultural memory and history.
