Jennifer M.T. Magel

Research Assistant, Biology, University of Victoria

Jennifer completed her MSc in Biology with Dr. Julia Baum at the University of Victoria in 2018, specializing in coral reef ecology. Her MSc research examined the effects of the 2015–2016 El Niño and mass coral bleaching event on the structural complexity of coral reef ecosystems, and on the abundance and composition of tropical reef fish assemblages. Since graduating she has continued to work with Dr. Baum in a research capacity, focusing primarily on the analysis of coral reef ecological data.
