Jennifer R. Joe, Ph.D., CPA, is the Whitney Family Endowed Professor of Accounting and Cohen Family Director of Diversity at the University of Delaware. She researches the role of auditors, data analytics, regulations, audit litigation and other governance mechanisms on the quality of corporate internal controls and financial reporting. Jennifer was an Editor of Auditing: A Journal of Practice and Theory and served as an officer and committee member of several American Accounting Association and AAA Auditing Section committees. Currently, she serves on the editorial board of The Accounting Review and the Center for Audit Quality AAA Scientific Review Committee. Jennifer has significant experience teaching accounting, auditing, and internal controls at national universities and corporate professional education programs. She serves as an Advance Faculty Fellow at UD and enjoys volunteering on academic and civic boards. In recent research Jennifer investigates diversity in businesses and U.S. business schools, and is dedicated to advancing diversity and inclusive excellence in higher education.
