I was awarded an MA in Translation and Interpreting and a PhD in Translation Studies from the University of Salford. Before joining Academia, I worked for many years as a freelance translator and interpreter. Since joining, I have taught French and Translation and Interpreting Studies in many Higher Education Institutions across the UK. My research interest area lies within Public Service/Community Interpreting and I have delivered many talks / published several articles on ethics, the role of court interpreters and the use of technologies.
