Associate Director for Research, Wrigley Institute for Environmental Studies / Adjunct Assistant Professor (Research), Environmental Studies Program, USC Dornsife College of Letters, Arts and Sciences

Dr. Dutton works within the USC Wrigley Institute for Environmental Studies to to advance the institute's research mission and partnerships both on and off campus, and connect those programs with education, policy and other interdisciplinary initiatives. Her research background is in marine eco-physiology, looking at the distribution and function of intertidal species along the California coast, and how ranges map onto environment with implications for understanding climate impacts. She also held marine policy fellowships with the National Academies Ocean Studies Board and NOAA Fisheries before coming to USC. She coordinates programming at the natural-social science interface, and collaborates in many of the institute's research investigations and educational programs.
