Jessica R. Locklear

Jessica is a rising scholar and an enrolled member of the Lumbee Tribe of North Carolina. She received undergraduate degrees in history and American Indian studies from the University of North Carolina at Pembroke (UNCP) in 2017. She recently earned an M.A. in history with a concentration in public history from Temple University. Her master's thesis focuses on the history of Lumbee migrations to Philadelphia after World War II and the community that was established there. She is currently working towards a Ph.D. in history at UNC Chapel Hill.
