Jessica Rosenfeld

Jessica Rosenfeld is an Associate Professor of English, specializing in medieval literature. She has published a book about the influence of Aristotle's ethical philosophy on French and English literature of the thirteenth and fourteenth centuries, Ethics and Enjoyment in Late Medieval Poetry: Love after Aristotle (Cambridge UP, 2011). Her current research addresses the history of the emotions love and envy in medieval European literature, with a focus on debates about justice and rationality. Her expertise is in medieval literature, moral philosophy, the history of emotions, and the ethics of literature.
