PhD candidate, University of Cape Town

I am a PhD candidate at the University of Cape Town, supervised by Dr Robyn Pickering, Dr Jayne Wilkins and Dr Rosalie Tostevin. I am interested in Quaternary Geology and palaeoclimate studies related to human evolution. My research is focused on using secondary terrestrial carbonate deposits (calcrete and tufa) to investigate past environments at archaeological sites to provide context to the findings. I do this through a combination of field work, petrographic analysis, U-Th dating and isotope geochemistry.
