Jeylan T Mortimer

Jeylan Mortimer is Professor of Sociology at the University of Minnesota. Her research examines the long-term impacts of pathways of transition to adulthood on socioeconomic attainments, and the influence of parents’ trajectories from adolescence to adulthood on children’s behavioral adjustment, well-being, and orientations to the future. Her recent articles have appeared in Social Psychology Quarterly, Developmental Psychology, Demography, Society and Mental Health, the Journal of Marriage and Family, and Social Science Research.
