Joanne Tingey-Holyoak

Joanne is a lecturer in the School of Commerce at the University of South Australia with teaching interests in accounting, governance, assurance and business sustainability. She has previously worked in a senior management role in industry and held a research position at the Centre for Accounting, Governance and Sustainability (CAGS).
With a transdisciplinary PhD in water management and accounting for agri-business, her research encompasses elements of management of and accounting for complex physical and behavioural problems faced by business.
Through grants from the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australian and Certified Institute of Management Accountants, and industry, ongoing research interests include water accounting and auditing standards, water management accounting, and education its role in reducing the research-practice gap surrounding problems of economic, social and environmental sustainability.
