Jocelyn Lavallee

Research Scientist, Colorado State University

I am a Research Scientist in the Soil and Crop Sciences Department at Colorado State University. I have been researching soils since beginning my PhD in 2009, and worked as a Postdoctoral Research Associate in Manchester, England before beginning my current position. I have studied many different aspects of soils, including soil organic matter dynamics and chemistry, food web ecology, and responses of soil properties and food webs to climate change, management regimes, and land use change. My current focus is on using soil management as a tool to fight climate change and improve long-term agricultural outcomes, specifically through increasing stocks of soil carbon.
