Jocelyn Lavallee

Research Scientist, Colorado State University

I currently work as a Research Scientist in the Natural Resource Ecology Laboratory at Colorado State University. I have been researching soils since beginning my PhD in 2009, and worked as a Postdoctoral Research Associate in Manchester, England for three years before beginning my current position. I have studied many different aspects of soils, including soil organic matter dynamics and chemistry, food web ecology, and responses of soil properties and food webs to climate change, management regimes, and land use change. My current focus is on using smart soil management as a tool to fight climate change and improve agricultural yields, specifically through increasing stocks of soil carbon.
